Office of Technology Transfer

The Office of Technology Transfer at the UC Merced Campus exists to:

Guide the faculty and other researchers in the proper method of disclosure of inventions or discovery of intellectual property, interfacing UC Merced with the Office of Technology Transfer at the UC Office of the President (UCOP) and tracking patenting and licensing processes
Assist the faculty as required to create the disclosure or record of invention (ROI) statement, filing the ROI with UCOP, and participates with UCOP in the prosecution of any patenting, marketing, licensing and contractual negotiations with industrial partners or venture capitalists
To act as the single conduit for the campus and reports to the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Dean of Graduate Studies
