This is an event hosted by the UC Merced Psi Chi branch and in collaboration with the Merritt Writing Program for WRI 101 students to present their literature review posters in a professional setting. Selected WRI 101 students will professionally present their research posters to their peers and to psychology faculty in a conference style setting, much like what would be done at the Western Psychology Association annual conference. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for Psychology students to gain experience in presenting a research poster in public. This is also a great opportunity for students to practice public speaking skills and practice professional research poster oral/visual presentation. All students and posters will be evaluated to select who will receive awards of recognition for Best Oral, Best Visual, and Best Overall Presentation.
