The Department of Animal Research Services (DARS) is responsible for managing the facilities in which animals are maintained for teaching and research programs. DARS provides a full spectrum of animal care and services including the acquisition of equipment and supplies; the acquisition and disposition of animals; consulting and veterinary services. The facility and animal-care programs are managed to provide quality humane animal care in compliance with federal, state and university laws, regulations and policies.
