Each presenter will be judged on their poster and presentation by at least two judges. Presentations for a judge should last between 8-10 minutes including time for answering questions. Judges will discuss the project with the presenter and score the poster.
A score of 1-5 will be given for each of the ten (10) categories:

2. Methods
3. Results
4. Discussions
5. Conclusions
Poster Appearance
6. Poster Design
7. Poster Organization
8. References/Sources Cited
Student Communication and Overall Presentation
9. Communication
10. Overall Presentation
A score of 1 - 5 will be given FOR each of the ten categories
5 – Excellent - Majority of student’s responses significantly exceed category requirements.
4 – Above Average - Some responses meet and significantly exceed category requirements.
3 – Average - Responses minimally meet all category requirements.
2 – Below Average - Responses do not meet category requirements, but responses do demonstrate some understanding of the material presented.
1 – Very Poor - Response demonstrates little or lack of understanding of material and does not meet the category requirements. Student should work with staff/Faculty to improve their presentation.
Students may pick up their score sheet and judges’ comments at the Research Week Reception and Faculty Networking event on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 3PM in KL 355. If unable to attend, students can contact the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) at uroc@ucmerced.edu to pick up their feedback form.
